VHS to DVD

Well, one of my non-financial goals this year was to put all my vhs tapes to dvd. (only the family videos)

I saw a great deal for a combo player/recorder for $99 at Big Lots and went ahead and bought it.

I did my first DVD today and it went nice and smooth.

    Wow.

    I remember once upon a time (OK, more like 5 years ago) when DVD recorders have finally come down in price low enough for consumers to buy them. Heck they were "only" $500 back then. But that was only for the drive for your computer. Now, you can buy entire standalones that can burn DVDs for only $99?

    Amazing.
